All inclusive in the Caribbean

Author: Rodney Munch

The Caribbean has long been an attractive destination for travellers and for those who like their every need taken care of there are a number of resorts offering visitors the all-inclusive experience.

For those uninformed; when you pay for an all-inclusive vacation (or holiday for those outside of the US) you are also paying for all your standard food and drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) so that everything you need on your trip is taken care of. This often allows budgeting for your trip a much easier affair.

When I say standard food and drink is taken care of, there is usually the option, at extra cost, to upgrade to premium alcoholic beverages such as champagne or higher quality wines, beers and spirits. Many all inclusive resorts in the Caribbean also have restaurants where guests can dine at an extra cost.

Standard food at an all inclusive resorts often comes in the form of a help yourself buffet. The food quality is generally very good with a huge amount of variety on offer. Some resorts, like Hermitage Bay in Antigua, however, have restaurant dining as part of the all inclusive experience and is not charged extra. You are given Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, with many resorts also providing between meal snacks.

Aside from the benefits of your food and drink being taken care of, you will often find many other things included in your vacation such as tennis, golf, snorkelling trips, kids clubs, scuba diving, canoe hire and many other activities and excursions. You will also find you transport to and from the airport is taken care of in most cases.

As you can see, all inclusive is a great way to have a hassle free relaxing holiday with your every need taken care of.
